Programme Objectives

  • The objectives of the Master’s degree programme are to graduate expert engineers who are, investigative, innovative, self-confident, able to solve problems requiring expert knowledge by using scientific research methods and develop them with new approaches and in turn apply them to industry, are conscious of work ethics and protectors of the natural environment, and are able to develop strategy, policy and application plans for future.

Key Learning Outcomes

  1. To develop their knowledge in their own field to an expert level based on skills acquired in undergraduate level,
  2. To comprehend interdisciplinary properties of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering field,
  3. To be able to use theoretical and practical knowledge acquired in graduate level.
  4. To be able to use interdisciplinary knowledge in solving problems related with the field.
  5. To be able to apply knowledge acquired in their field to interdisciplinary studies.
  6. To be able to solve the problems requiring expert knowledge by using scientific research methods, develop them with new approaches and apply to industry.
  7. To be able to execute scientific studies independently,
  8. To be able to present current progress, studies and results in their field in national and international levels as written, oral and visual presentation.
  9. To be able to communicate in verbal and written ways at least in one foreign language,
